A woman died and her young son was injured after receiving an electric shock from a water pump in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City–19, Kailali district.
According to local authorities, 25-year-old Bimala Kunwar died after she was electrocuted while drawing water with an electric motor at their home in Phulbari.
She was rushed to the Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi for treatment but was declared dead upon arrival, police said.
Kunwar’s three-year-old son, Prajwal Kunwar, was also injured in the incident. He is currently undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
