One dead in Makwanpur road accident
A 58-year-old man killed after being hit by a bus in Manahari Municipality.Post Report
A 58-year-old man was killed in a road accident in Makwanpur after being hit by a bus on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at the Khuranga section of the East-West Highway in ward 9 of Manahari Municipality, where Jit Bahadur Pradhan, a resident of ward 9 of Triyuga Municipality, Udaypur, was struck.
Pradhan, who had stopped his vehicle while travelling from Kathmandu to Janakpur, attempted to cross the road to use a nearby toilet when a bus coming from the opposite direction hit him. He was rushed to Hetauda Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal of the Makwanpur District Police Office confirmed that the bus driver, 26-year-old Mohan Thapa Magar from ward 3 of Siddhalek Rural Municipality, Dhading, has been arrested.
