Prime Minister Oli arrives in Thailand for official visit and BIMSTEC Summit
This is the first official visit of a Nepali Prime Minister to Thailand.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived in Bangkok on Tuesday evening for his official visit and to attend the 6th Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit.
Oli landed at Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 6:15 pm local time, where he was welcomed by Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Minister of Culture and Sports, Sorawong Thienthong, Nepali Ambassador to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, and Thai Ambassador to Nepal, Supapong Sirisorn.
This visit at an invitation from Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for cooperation in sectors such as tourism and culture.
The Prime Minister’s delegation includes Radhika Shakya, PM Oli's wife, and Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, among others.
During his visit, Prime Minister Oli will hold bilateral talks with Thai leaders, with agreements expected in tourism and culture. On April 3, he will meet with prominent Thai business leaders and address an event at the Asian Institute of Technology. He will also attend a formal dinner with other BIMSTEC leaders that evening.
On April 4, Prime Minister Oli will participate in the BIMSTEC Summit, deliver a speech, and hold side-line talks with fellow leaders. He will also attend the signing ceremony for the Maritime Transport Cooperation Agreement and an event at the Nepali Embassy in Bangkok.
The Prime Minister and his delegation are scheduled to return to Nepal on April 5.
