A fire broke out in the Muslim settlement of Kadama, Dhanpalthan Rural Municipality, Morang, on Tuesday, killing a four-year-old girl and destroying 16 houses.
According to the District Police Office, Morang, the deceased has been identified as Sushma Khatun. The fire spread rapidly due to the presence of thatched houses and haystacks, making it difficult to control.
Local residents, firefighters, and police worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames.
The police are investigating for further details.
