A construction worker remains missing after he fell into the Karnali river from an improvised boat of plastic drums in Kalikot on Monday.
According to the District Police Office, Devanath Sejuwal, 23, of ward 10 of Rarachhayanath Municipality went missing in the incident.
He has been working to construct Chatchaur-Laiphu road along the Karnali corridor. The accident occurred when four construction workers attempted to cross the river and reach the work site using the improvised boat.
Sejuwal plunged into the river as the boat got tilted, said police.
The security personnel are searching the victim but have been unable to trace him as of Monday afternoon.
