Two people were killed after being crushed under a falling tree in Dailekh on Friday morning.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Dahal of the District Police Office, Dailekh, 49-year-old Tarka Bahadur Shahi and 27-year-old Indra Bahadur Shahi died while cutting a tree in Siyala Community Forest at Dandagaun in ward 5 of Bhairabi Rural Municipality.
They had gone to collect firewood for a relative’s annual death rituals when the incident occurred. They died on the way home while being taken for treatment.
