A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a jeep while walking along the East-West Highway in Kohalpur, Banke.
The deceased, identified as Atwari Tharu, 60, from ward 15 of Kohalpur Municipality, was hit by the jeep, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Patali of the District Police Office, Banke.
Police have taken the driver into custody.
