Two die in separate road accidents in Siraha
Both accidents are under investigation, with the police urging caution on the roadsPost Report
Two people lost their lives in separate road accidents on Sunday in Siraha district. The incidents took place in different locations across the district, with one occurring in the early morning and the other later in the day.
According to the police, the first accident took place at around 6 am on the highway in Mirchaiya Municipality-7. A pickup truck collided with a stationary truck injuring the 27-year-old co-driver, Milan Sunar from Dudhauli Municipality-14 in Sindhuli, to death. The driver, Sagar Sunar, also from Dudhauli Municipality-14, sustained serious injuries. Sagar was provided first aid at the local level before being referred to Biratnagar for further treatment, confirmed the District Police Office, Siraha.
The second accident occurred at around 11 am on the east-west highway in the vicinity of Dhankadhimai Municipality-10. A tipper truck collided with a motorcycle coming from Kasaha towards Lahan causing the spot death of 57-year-old rider Ajablal Sah. Sah was rushed to Lahan’s Provincial Hospital, where he was declared dead by the hospital authorities, said the police.
Both accidents are under investigation, with the police urging caution on the roads.
