One-way traffic resumed along the Daunne section of the East-West Highway at 8:30am on Tuesday after a landslide that obstructed the road on Monday night was cleared.
Kamal Thapa, information officer at the Bardaghat Area Police Office, said small vehicles and motorcycles have begun using the route. However, authorities are facing difficulties in managing the long traffic congestion.
The ongoing widening of the Narayanghat-Butwal road section continues to cause delays, with only 52.7 percent of work completed after six years and multiple deadline extensions. This has become a major concern during the Dashain travel rush.
