One dead, nine injured in Arghakhanchi jeep crash

A 65-year-old man died on the spot, and nine others were injured when a jeep travelling to Butwal from Chhatradev crashed in ward 12 of Sitganga Municipality, Arghakhanchi district, on Wednesday.
According to Police Inspector Rabindra Chand from the Thada Area Police Office, the victim’s address has yet to be confirmed. The injured, including the driver, were initially treated at Thada Primary Health Centre before being transferred to Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal for further treatment.
The jeep fell around 70 metres from the road, with brake failure suspected as the cause of the accident.
Police said they are further investigating.
