WOW, the monthly women’s magazine published by Media9, honoured different individuals during the sixth edition of the ‘WOW Women Achievers Award’ ceremony in Kathmandu on Monday.
The awards highlight women of courage, perseverance and innovation in six categories, according to the organiser.
Bimala Shrestha Pokharel received the award for social service/activism, Neera Adhikari for leadership, Menuka Poudel for arts, Prakriti Mainali for entrepreneurship and Dr Sunnie Joshi as the inspiring woman of the year.
The lifetime achievement award was presented to Chandni Joshi, a gender, rights, and policy specialist with over 56 years of experience.
