Nepal Army chief Sharma to attend Indo-Pacific Chief Conference
Sharma will lead a four-member Nepali delegation of Major General Yograj Sharma, Colonel Basant Bahadur Gautam, and First Class Warrant Officer Ratna Bahadur Thapa Magar to the two-day event.Post Report
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Prabhu Ram Sharma is scheduled to travel to New Delhi on Sunday to attend the 13th Indo-Pacific Chief Conference (IPACC).
General Sharma will partake in the two-day conference, scheduled to be held from September 25 to 27, as per the decision of the government on September 9.
Sharma will be accompanied by Major General Yograj Sharma and Colonel Basant Bahadur Gautam. Major General Sharma and Colonel Gautam will take part in the 47th edition of the Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS) while First Class Warrant Officer Ratna Bahadur Thapa Magar, also a delegation member, will attend the 9th Senior Enlisted Leaders Forum (SELF).
The Nepali delegation will return on September 28.
According to the Nepal Army, the participation is aimed at further strengthening relations between the participating nations. The conference also provides an opportunity to exchange information and experience on human security.
