The Narayanghat-Mugling road section that was blocked from 4pm on Saturday opened for two-way traffic after landslides debris was cleared early on Sunday.
The road section came into regular operation at around 1am after a halt of nine hours, according to Bharatpur road division office.
Police Inspector at Muglin Area Police Office Bishal Tamang said the vehicles and passengers stranded for the past nine hours are on their way to their destinations.
The road section, one of the busiest travel routes in the country, was blocked on Saturday afternoon after a dry landslide occurred in Kalikhola of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-6.
