The Narayanghat-Mugling road section has been obstructed from 4pm on Saturday following the landslide.
The Bharatpur road division office said the traffic has come to a grinding halt following the mudslide near Kalikhola.
A team is headed to the spot to clear the debris and it could take around five hours for traffic to resume if further landslides don’t occur, the office said.
The road section, one of the busiest travel routes of the country, had witnessed frequent disruptions following landslides last week. Passengers travelling through the road section have been facing hardship due to frequent obstructions.
