Doctors report improvement in Chandra Bhandari’s health condition

Doctors attending to Nepali Congress lawmaker Chandra Bhandari have reported improvement in his health condition.
Quoting Dr Mukesh Mishra, Congress leader Yog Raj Kandel, said the doctors have reduced the oxygen support by 45 percent and started tube feeding him.
Bhandari on Friday underwent surgery on his legs at the Mumbai-based National Burn Centre.
Bhandari, who sustained serious injuries in a fire at his house, was flown to Mumbai, India for treatment on Thursday.
Doctors attending to the leader had recommended taking him to a well-equipped health institution and 25-30 percent of his skin was burnt.
Bhandari’s mother Harikala, who also sustained severe burn injuries during the fire caused by a cooking gas leak at their home in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu, died on Thursday in the course of treatment.
