Rastriya Swatantra Party finalises names for ministers, state minister

The Rastriya Swatantra Party has finalised the names of its three lawmakers to be appointed to the Cabinet.
RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane on Tuesday morning decided to send Shishir Khanal to look after the Ministry of Education, Dol Prasad Aryal to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security and Toshima Karki to serve as the State Minister for Heath.
The party already has its chairman Rabi Lamichhane as deputy prime minister and home minister.
Khanal was directly elected from Kathmandu-6, Aryal through a proportional representation system and Karki had secured her House of Representatives seat from Lalitpur-3.
Top leaders of the ruling coalition had agreed on ministerial allocations late Monday night.
As per the agreement, the largest party in the coalition, the UML, will get a total of eight ministers along with two ministers of state; the CPN (Maoist Centre), which is leading the government, will get five ministries including the prime minister; and the Rastriya Swatantra Party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party will get three ministries each along with one deputy prime minister each.
