Ramesh Lekhak has been nominated as the Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress for the House of Representatives.
According to the personal secretariat of the Congress Parliamentary Party leader, President Sher Bahadur Deuba nominated Lekhak to the post on Tuesday.
Lekhak was elected as the House of Representatives member from Kanchanpur-3 in the recent federal polls, defeating UML’s Niru Devi Pal by a margin of over 12,000 votes.
