Nepal Airlines Corporation’s flight attendants called off their protest on Thursday evening following an agreement with the management on renewing the contract of two crew members.
Ubaraj Adhikari, NAC’s executive chairman, said the corporation reached an agreement with the Cabin Crew Association of Nepal Airlines to hire staff on a three-year contract period from December 16.
Hundreds of passengers travelling on different international sectors were hit hard since Wednesday as flights were delayed due to the protest, while two aircraft of the national flag carrier were forced to stop in Malaysia and Dubai as the 10-hour duty period of the crew exceeded.
