UML maintains lead in vote count for PR seats
Nepali Congress and Rastriya Swatantra Party are in second and third place respectively.Post Report
The CPN-UML has maintained its lead in vote count tally under the proportional representation (PR) category in the federal elections as per the latest update.
As of 3:30pm on Thursday, UML has garnered 600,771 votes. The Nepali Congress is trailing UML with 569,809 votes and the Rastriya Swatantra Party is in third place securing 307,000 votes.
Meanwhile, CPN (Maoist Centre) stands fourth on the list. It has received 276,545 votes so far.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party is in fifth place with 167,257 votes.
Meanwhile, under the first-past-the-post category, the Congress has topped the seat tally as the final results of 80 constituencies have been made public so far.
As of 2:30pm, Congress has won 30 seats. UML is placed second with a win in 18 constituencies.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) is placed third in the seat tally winning nine seats as the CPN (Unified Socialist) is placed fourth with registering victory in seven constituencies.
