Kantipur Conclave, an annual calendar event of Kantipur Media Group, will have its third edition in September.
Launched in 2019, the Conclave’s second iteration was held in 2020 but then it had to be halted following the Covid-19 pandemic.
The third edition is expected to be even more exciting and bigger, Kantipur Media Group, the organiser, said.
Themed ‘Beyond Expectations, Beyond Boundaries’, the 2022 iteration of the event expects to bring together renowned personalities from the South Asian region.
Kantipur Conclave is a flagship event of the Kantipur Media Group, which publishes The Kathmandu Post and Kantipur dailies in English and Nepali and operates Kantipur TV and Kantipur FM. The event was launched in 2019 with a view to connecting the region and the world and to showcasing Nepal’s strength in the global community.
The world has gone through major upheavals in the last couple of years due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has impacted lives like never before since the World Wars. Moreover, the Ukraine war comes as a major blow to the world and its impacts are reverberating across global economies. In addition, grave challenges like climate change pose increased pressure on nations to meet their goals. The ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka has set off alarm bells in Nepal.
“Against this backdrop, the 2022 edition of Kantipur Conclave brings together thought leaders from various fields to discuss ways to translate challenges into opportunities and to make sense of what happened in the past, what is happening in the present and what may happen in the future,” said the Kantipur Media Group about the upcoming event.
