Seven people jailed in 2012 Janakpur blast
The Dhanusha District Court has sentenced seven people to life imprisonment, including former state minister Sanjay Sah (Takala), for their involvement in 2012 Janakpur bomb blast that killed five persons. The single bench of Judge Rajesh Katuwal announced the decision against Sah, Mukesh Kumar Chaudhary, Ranjit Jha, Jaya Prakash Chaudhary, Suresh Kumar Karna, Mukesh Kumar Karna and Ripendra Jha. The court sentenced Om Prakash Yadav to 10 years imprisonment. Another accused Sujit Pandey has been acquitted.
All seven convicts are now in judicial custody. Four other suspects are on the run. Radha Kanta Jha, registrar at the court, said that case of those four suspects at large is pending in the court.
