Valentine’s Day, although non-native to Nepal, has become an important annual event among youngsters in recent years. The ‘day of love’ is taken as an event where people earnestly express their love and affection for another person.
With Nepali society catching up with global trends in terms of culture, fashion and social media trend, Valentine’s Day has become one of the most-awaited days of the year among teenagers. Also called ‘Pranaya Diwas’ in Nepali, the day is increasingly becoming popular among elderly generations as well.
