Nepal Police on Sunday arrested an Indian gang-member involved in illegal smuggling of arms into Nepal from India.
Twenty-year-old Salman Khan, a resident of Baharaich, Uttar Pradesh in India was arrested with one pistol and one round bullet. Police also confiscated Nepali and Indian currency worth Rs 29,000 and three gram of unidentified brown powder from his possession.
Acting on a tipoff, Nepal police arrested Khan from Gulariya-10, informed SP SurendraMainali. He was riding a motorcycle bearing Indian number plate.
SP Mainali said the bike has been impounded for further investigation.
