John Tamang, who was found a week after missing in dense Phulchoki jungle, was discharged from hospital on Tuesday. He was admitted to B&B Hospital in Lalitpur.
Tamang’s uncle Dipak Rai said that he will now take rest at home to recover fully.
Tamang, 17, was found alive from Phulchoki jungle on January 31. The sixth grader at Thasikhel-based Ajaya Sishu Sadan, went missing on January 25 when he was hiking with 11 of his school friends, led by School Principal Durga Bahadur Oli.
After the boy went missing, the parents staged a protest alleging that the incident occurred due to the principal’s negligence.
Earlier, police had detained school principal Durga Bahadur Oli after Tamang’s parents blamed him for the boy’s missing.
