It has been learnt that the District Administration Office (DAO) has been holding a meeting with local parties and victim's family to sort out the issue.
The DAO this afternoon has clamped curfew in the area after the situation turned violent following a clash between locals and police personnel.
The clash ensued after the police personnel tried to control demonstration staged by locals demanding action against three people arrested on the charge of murdering 11-year-old Laxman Siwakoti in Arjundhara on September 30.
The curfew was imposed from 1:30 pm today till further notice.
The anguished locals also torched dozens of vehicles parked near the Area Police Office.
The curfew was enforced from Buspark area in East, Charpane in West, Mahananda Chok in North and Birta Bazaar in South to avert the possible untoward incidents, DSP KC said.
Siwakoti, who had gone missing on the day of Dashain Tika, was found dead the next day. His body was recovered from the bush at Bisawadi of Birtamod-1.
