Two brothers stabbed to death

Two brothers were stabbed to death at Patan Durbar Square in Lalitpur on Wednesday.
According to Lalitpur Police, the deceased have been identified as 33-year-old Sumit Nembang and his 25-year-old brother Sirjan Nembang, originally from Jhapa and currently residing in Lalitpur.
Police have arrested the suspect, Sanjib Nepali. An argument among the three on an issue led to the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police Hobindra Bogati, Lalitpur District Police Range chief, said.
He said Sirjan had dialled a number thinking it belonged to another person, but the call reached Sanjiv Nepali instead.
Agreeing to meet and talk in person, they gathered at Patan Durbar Square at around 4 pm on Wednesday, where the dispute escalated, and Sanjiv attacked them with a knife, he added.
The Nembang brothers, who were seriously injured, died during treatment at B&B Hospital. Police also arrested two individuals within minutes of the incident.
