At least 29 cows being illegally transported to India by dodging the customs have been taken under control.
The Area Police Office, Bardibas acted on a special tip off and took under control 26 cows and three oxen from Bardibas municipality – 2.
The police intercepted a truck (Na 6 Ka 3841) transporting the cows along the Aaurahi – Jaleshwor road stretch to India from Bardibas, Inspector Basudev Thapa said.
The cows have now been brought to Hetauda. Police investigation further revealed that the animals were being taken to Bangladesh via India. The truck has been sent to the Customs Office, Jaleshwor for legal action. RSS
