Kantipur Foundation sets up emergency relief fund
Kantipur Foundation, the non-profit philanthropic organisation of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), has established a fund, “Kantipur Badhi-Pahiro Rahat Kosh”, to offer emergency relief to the communities affected by floods and landslides across the country.

The foundation has initiated the fund with a seed amount of Rs 1.1 million. Nepal Investment Bank, Siddhartha Bank, NIC Asia Bank and Nepal Medicity Hospital have already pledged Rs 1.1 million each to the fund, the KMG said in a statement on Sunday.
“All proceeds will be distributed in the areas worst hit by the disaster through the concerned District Natural Disaster Relief Committees,” it said.
Those interested may contribute to this cause by making donations into Kantipur Badhi-Pahiro Rahat Kosh accounts at Nepal Investment Bank: 00101010327510; Siddhartha Bank: 00115270041; NIC Aisa Bank: 5441498488524001; Sanima Bank: 0010001348101.
The names of individuals and organisations contributing more than Rs 1,000 will be published/broadcast on various media outlets of the KMG: Kantipur, The Kathmandu Post, ekantipur, Kantipur Television and Radio Kantipur.
The donors contributing Rs 500,000 or more will have their pictures published on Kantipur and The Kathmandu Post, the statement reads. (PR)
