Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Karna Singh Saud has been elected chairperson of the Shivanath Rural Municipality, Baitadi.

Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Karna Singh Saud has been elected chairperson of the Shivanath Rural Municipality, Baitadi.
He defeated Bharat Madai of CPN-UML to become chairperson of the Shivanath Rural Municipality.
Saud accumulated 2, 351 votes while Madai garnered 2, 314 votes.
Likewise, Kushma Chand of NC has been elected vice-chair of the rural municipality.
She defeated Jhapu Mahat of NC. Chand mustered 2, 368 votes while Mahat obtained 2,124 votes.
