A person was killed on the spot and nine others sustained injuries in a road accident at Kulekhani along Hetauda-Kulekhani road section Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Maeli Sapkota, 42, of Gurjudhara of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-8, according to Sub-Inspector of Sisneri Police Post, Devendra Rana.

The accident took place when a jeep (Na 1 Ja 3701) heading towards Sarlahi from Kathmandu fell some 45 metres off the road. The injured have been sent to Sumeru Hospital for further treatment. Police have arrested the jeep driver. RSS
