CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Yogendra Ghising Tamang has been expelled from the party for working against the party policy.

Lalitpur District Working Committee of the party on Wednesday expelled Tamang from the general membership for acting against the party’s interests and policies, said Hari Dahal, party’s Lalitpur district in-charge. He added that Tamang was found involved in encouraging an independent candidate in the local level elections.

Lawmaker Ghising is also the secretariat member of Lalitpur district.

He was elected as a Constituent Assembly member from the CPN (Maoist Centre) under the Proportional Representation category.

Party’s Parliamentary Party Chief Whip Tek Bahadur Basnet said that he has no knowledge about the expulsion of Tamang.
