Maoist Centre Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed commitment to make it a success, claiming that other parties “were not keen” on ensuring the implementation of the constitution.
According to leader Mani Thapa, the meeting of the party headquarters on Saturday discussed about the internal preparations for the upcoming polls.
During the meeting, Dahal had said a national level Local Elections Deployment Committee would be formed besides District Level Election Deployment Committee in all 75 districts. Thapa said secretariat members of the party would be deployed for the election campaign at all the districts.
Unlike the UML’s Mechi-Mahakali campaign with the involvement of party’s senior leaders in all the districts for publicity, Thapa said Maoist Centre Chairman Dahal
had put emphasis on province-wise election campaigns.
The party has already launched election-focused three-month nationwide
campaign ‘Gau Nagar Jaun Maobadi lai Jitau’ (Let’s go to villages, cities to make Maoist victorious).
It has also decided to hold unity conferences at all the lower level organisational settings.
The party has called another meeting of its headquarters on Monday to finalise some issues regarding the poll preparations.
