Four persons were killed and 19 others injured when a jeep plunged from a steep road on Monday night at Sridanda of Dovan VDC – 4 Palpa.
The deceased have been identified as Yam Bahadur Gaha, 26, Jasbir Bakabal, 41, Min Bahadur Thapa, 31, and Hari Prasad Rana, 42, of Dovan – 2, according local, Yam Prasad Poudel.
The injured passengers are being treated at hospitals in Butwal, District Police Office said. The ill-fated jeep (Lu 1 Ja 2689), which was part of a marriage procession with a musical band, fell some 120 metres down when negotiating a steep rough trail as it climbed down the hill. Four of the injured passengers are reported to be in critical condition. RSS
