Student rally to protest ‘murders’ of two women
Students took to the streets in the Capital on Wednesday to protest the alleged murders of two women in Kavre and Nuwakot recently.

Students took to the streets in the Capital on Wednesday to protest the alleged murders of two women in Kavre and Nuwakot recently. The protesting students demanded that the authorities investigate the deaths of Laxmi Pariyar of Kavre and Kanchan Bhujel of Nuwakot, claiming that they were victims of gender violence.
Girl students associated with the 13 students’ unions including the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) and All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) gathered at the Bagabazaar-based Padma Kanya Campus to protest against the murders.
Alliance President Nabina Lama said gender-based discrimination against women has prompted violence against them. She demanded stern action against the guilty.
