Yu to succeed Wu as China’s ambassador to nepal

Wu is returning to China after completing his more than three-and-a-half-year ambassadorial stint in Nepal.
“My stay of three years and eight months in Kathmandu was very successful and positive,” Wu told PM Dahal.
China has already proposed Yu Hong as the new ambassador to Nepal. She is expected to arrive in Kathmandu later this month.
Yu is currently serving as the consul general in Surabaya, Indonesia. Before taking assignment in Indonesia, Yu spent three years (2011-2014) at China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she served as the deputy director general of the Department of Consular Affairs.
Prior to that, she served as the consular and division chief at the Department of Asian Affairs in Beijing from 2006 to 2011.
