The government on Thursday transferred some key secretaries, including those of Ministry of Home and Ministry of Finance.

Finance Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi has been transferred to the Ministry of Home and Shanta Raj Subedi, who was at the Commission for Investigation for the Abuse of Authority (CIAA), has been brought in Regmi’s place.

Home Secretary Narayan Gopal Malego has been transferred to the Office of the Vice President (OVP). Kedar Bahadur Adhikari, secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Mahendra Man Gurung, secretary at the Ministry of Local Development, have been swapped.

Shanta Bahadur Shrestha has been appointed education secretary. Similarly, Rajendra Chhettri has been sent to the CIAA from the OVP. Joint Secretary Purna Chandra Bhattarai, who was promoted on Thursday only, is the new secretary at the Ministry of General Administration.

Tanka Mani Sharma, secretary at the Ministry of General Administration, has been posted at the PMO.
