People in Dang have been facing difficulty travelling through Lamahi-Tulsipur road during monsoon due to flood-swollen rivers and streams.People in Dang have been facing difficulty travelling through Lamahi-Tulsipur road during monsoon due to flood-swollen rivers and streams.
The road passes through 10 rivers and streams, but none of them have a bridge. Vehicles have to pass through causeways, which get submerged in raging torrents during rainy season.

Superintendent of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh said vehicles getting trapped while crossing flooded causeways along the road are common during monsoon.
Although the Division Road Office (DRO) in Dang had initiated works to construct bridges at Babai, Katuwa, Gujre, Patre and Sankram streams several years ago,
all projects suffered delays owing to lack of construction materials, said Jyandra Prasad Paudel, the DRO acting chief.
Transportation workers, however, claimed that the delay was caused because the DRO has issued the contracts to build several bridges to a single firm.
