Cabinet expansion: Seven new ministers sworn in (Update)

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers amid a special function organised at the President’s office in Sheetal Niwas.
DPM and Defence Minister Bhim Rawal, DPM and Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Chitra Bahadur KC, DPM and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare CP Mainali took the oath.
Likewise, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, Information and Communication Technology Minister Sher Dhan Rai, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Ananda Pokharel, and Minister without portfolio Shanta Manavi were sworn in today.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli appointed Mabani as Labour Minister in place of Asta Laxmi Shakya after the latter turned down the offer of ministerial berth. She was nominated by the CPN-UML as the Minister for Labour.
Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun Pasang and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, among other ministers, were present during the swearing in ceremony.
With today's expansion, the total number of ministers has reaced to 26. Prior to this, PM Oli had inducted 18 ministers along with two state ministers.
