Addressing the programme organised by NC constituency no 3 regional committee at Jorpati , Former Prime Minister and NC senior leader said the sad and untimely demise of Thakuri has caused irreparable loss to the party. Thakuri was one of the thousands of people losing lives to the devastation brought by the April 25 earthquake in the country.
Thakuri, a permanent resident of Jorpati, Kathmandu died when a rock that fell from a hill during the April 25 earthquake hit his vehicle near Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa while on the way to the capital after attending an education-related programme there.
He had been elected to the first Constituent Assembly from the Kathmandu constituency no.3. RSS
