The ministry issued such directives citing security reasons.
In a press statement issued by Yadav Koirala, spokesperson at the ministry, the government has prohibited the use of explosives during Tihar and Chhath festivals.
The import, export, sale and the use of explosives is strictly prohibited, read the statement.
