Post Report
ROSKINO (a government organisation representing the Russian audiovisual content industry in international markets) is organising the Russian Film Day at Chhaya Center today. The event will be a part of the Eighth Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) and is supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture.
Guests will be able to see the war drama ‘Nuremberg’ (2023, directed by Nikolay Lebedev), the teen-love melodrama ‘Four Quarters’ (2024, directed by Evgenia Tirdatova), and the romantic comedy/road-trip adventure, ‘Threesome’ (2021, directed by Alexandra Sarana).
‘Nuremberg’ is one of the key war dramas of 2023. This historical movie is the first full-length feature fiction film about the Nuremberg trials.
‘Four Quarters’ is a film adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name by Alexander Yuk. The global premiere of the teen drama occurred during the 46th MIFF in April 2024.
‘Threesome’ is the young author Alexandra Sarana’s debut as a full-length feature film director. The romantic comedy invites viewers on a trip around the Perm region with two characters: a young civil servant and her casual passenger.
NIFF 2025 (March 2o to 24) will feature 87 films from 40 countries. Many of these films have been shown at some of the most prestigious international film festivals, such as those held in Busan, Cannes, Locarno, and Berlins.
NIFF features national and international competitions for fiction, documentary, and full-length feature films. This year, a new category will be introduced for films focused on Artificial Intelligence or produced with AI technologies.
