Gold price continued to rise in the domestic market on Wednesday, increasing Rs 2,000 per tola.
Its price in the domestic market has increased by Rs 2,000 per tola today, trading at Rs 319,000 per tola. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the precious metal is being traded at Rs 319,000 per tola today, while it was priced Rs 317,000 on Tuesday and Rs 313,200 per tola on Monday.
The increase in domestic prices follows a surge in the international bullion markets. However, silver price remained unchanged at Rs 5,720 per tola compared to Tuesday’s trading rate. On Monday, the metal was traded at Rs 5,410 per tola.
Fluctuation in gold prices is linked to several factors like the strengthening of US dollar and higher US Treasury yields, according to experts. Global developments like ongoing conflicts in the Middle East have also contributed.
In the international market, gold is being traded at USD 5,210 per ounce and silver at USD 89. One tola equals to 11.6638 grams.
