Nepse rises nearly 10 points as turnover crosses Rs7 billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) gained 9.93 points on Tuesday, pushing the benchmark index to 2,649 points amid a marked uptick in trading activity.
According to market data, Tuesday’s turnover reached Rs7.12 billion, up from Rs6.47 billion in the previous session—recording the highest transaction value in a month. Share prices of 148 listed companies increased, while 103 declined and 8 remained unchanged.
Finance companies were the day’s main attraction, with the finance subgroup posting the strongest rise of 2.87 percent. On Monday, the production and processing subgroup had led the market with a 3 percent jump, but it slipped by 0.51 percent in the latest session.
Among notable gainers, Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta’s share price hit a 10 percent rise, while Three Star Hydropower climbed 9.54 percent.
Ruru Hydropower recorded the steepest fall of the day, dropping 8.41 percent.
The five most actively traded companies were SY Panel Nepal, Butwal Power Company, Shivam Cements, Bandipur Cable Car, and Manjushree Finance, reflecting sustained investor interest across diverse sectors.
