Malaysia Airlines has enhanced its bonus side trip programme, offering international travellers a domestic return flight to one of seven Malaysian destinations at no extra fare when travelling via Kuala Lumpur.
Passengers can explore Langkawi, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Alor Star, Kuala Terengganu, or Kota Bharu before continuing their journey. The initiative is fully integrated into ticket fares, allowing seamless multi-destination travel for those transiting or staying in Malaysia, the airlines said.
“This programme reflects our commitment to championing Malaysia as a preferred destination in Asia,” said Dersenish Aresandiran, chief commercial officer of airlines, Malaysia Aviation Group. “It curates experiences that extend our Malaysian Hospitality across the country.”
The airlines said the programme, launched ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026, aims to stimulate sustainable tourism by encouraging international travellers to discover Malaysia’s lesser-known destinations, rich in culture and natural beauty.
