Proton launches EV in Nepal
The Proton e.MAS7 enters Nepal with prices starting from Rs5.69 million featuring competitive financing options.

Proton has officially launched its electric vehicle, the e.MAS7, in Nepal through its authorised distributor, Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd. The launch event, held at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, was attended by industry professionals, business leaders, and media representatives.
The e.MAS7 is available in two variants, Prime and Premium, and comes in six colour options, according to a press release issued by the company. Key features include a 60.22 kWh battery in the Premium variant, offering a range of 410 km (WLTP).
The on-road price of Proton e.MAS7 Prime and Premium without insurance are Rs56,99,000 and Rs67,99,000 respectively, according to the company.
It supports DC fast charging, with 30-80 percent charge in 20 minutes, and a 10-minute charge providing 135 km of range, the company said. “Interior highlights include ventilated seats, a 16-speaker Sound Wave system, a 15.4-inch touchscreen, and 256-colour ambient lighting.”
Jagdamba Motors has announced plans to establish 12 dealerships across Nepal, with nine expected to be operational by the end of 2025. The company is also investing in EV charging infrastructure and service centres to support Nepal’s transition to electric mobility.
