Nepal sets IT export target of Rs 3 trillion over next decade
Government aims to create 1.5 million jobs and develop the nation as an IT hub, says finance minister.

The government has set a target to export goods and services worth Rs3 trillion in the information technology sector in the next ten years.
Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has said that 500,000 direct and 1 million indirect jobs will be created in the field.
“Nepal will be developed as an information technology hub,” he said. “Artificial intelligence will be developed, promoted and regulated,” he said.
Minister Pun also pledged to ensure policy stability in the information technology sector.
