Share transactions to be suspended only for 15 days for merger and acquisition
Now, a unified policy has been formulated for all companies listed in the secondary market with the new directives.

Now, share transactions of companies in the process of merger and acquisition will be suspended only for 15 days.
The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) on Thursday issued a directive that mentions that the share transactions will be suspended for a maximum of 15 working days for the completion of the merger and acquisition process that include re-registration of securities, dematerialisation and listing of securities among others.
Now, a unified policy has been formulated for all companies listed in the secondary market with the new directives. Earlier, there was a policy for trading suspension only for banks and financial institutions.
After the implementation of the directives, general investors will not need to wait a longer period for buying and selling shares.
