Ncell Axiata has received an award for becoming Nepal’s fastest mobile network from Ookla, the global mobile and broadband network intelligence. 

Ncell was honoured in the speed score category for January-June 2022 period which represents mobile download and upload speeds, according to the company’s press statement. Ncell achieved a speed score of 17.16, with median download speeds of 17.31 Mbps and median upload speeds of 9.26 Mbps, securing the best speed rates in this market. 

After taking download and upload speeds into account, the scores were determined to rank network speed performance. 

Ookla compared 16,929 user-initiated tests conducted on the Speedtest iOS and Android apps from all major mobile carriers in Nepal during the first and second quarters of 2022.
