Technical glitch temporarily disrupts Ncell services

Ncell services were abruptly disrupted on Monday morning causing inconvenience to the users for about 55 minutes.
The private sector telecom operator said that services were disrupted due to a technical glitch. The problem occurred at around 10 am.
According to the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, telecom regulator, a fibre breakage in Pokhara data centre caused the service interruption.
Voice and SMS services, as well data services, were down due to the fibre breakage, the company said.
The telecom regulator was immediately informed about the interruption, according to the company.
Ncell has 16.81 million voice telephony subscribers up until mid-June, according to the management information system report of the authority.
