Himalayan Bank and American Express launch two new cards

Himalayan Bank and American Express have launched two new Cards–Himalayan Bank American Express Credit Card and Himalayan Bank Prepaid American Express Card– in Nepal to cater to outbound travellers as well as local customers.
While the credit card is targeted to shoppers, the prepaid card is aimed at facilitating international students, the bank said in a statement. “American Express has been our long-standing partner and we are happy to take this relationship forward with the launch of two new products targeted at different sets of customers,” said Ashoke SJB Rana, Chief Executive Officer of Himalayan Bank. “These cards will benefit both our local customers within Nepal, as well as those travelling to any other country rewarding them with every transaction.”
Divya Jain, vice president and business head, Network Partnerships, South Asia, American Express added, “Both cards will enhance the consumers’ overall travel and shopping experience by offering greater benefits and cashback that our products are known for.”
